About This Product

Vita-Fit Glucosamine sulfate's role in supporting joint mobility and repair appears to be directly due to its ability to provide the nutrients to make the glycosaminoglycans and the hyaluronic acid backbone needed for the formation of the proteoglycans found in the structural matrix of joints.

All of the glucosamine forms originate from shellfish, and has been shown since the first studies in 1980 to be effective for supporting joint mobility. Glucosamine sulfate(and HCL) also has very few side effects.

Dosage: 1 capsule 3 times a day.

Glucosamine sulfate is an aminosugar molecule needed to form glycosaminoglycan and hyaluronic acid molecules that are major constituents of joint cartilage, or the tissue that lines your joints. Chondroitin sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan molecule. Think of them as the clay (glucosamine sulfate) and the bricks (chondroitin sulfate) that make up a wall (joint cartilage). Some sources of glucosamine include crab, lobster, and shrimp shells. Chondroitin can come from cattle tracheas (windpipes) and shark cartilage.

Because glucosamine sulfate is a smaller molecule than chondroitin sulfate, it is more easily absorbed across your digestive tract, making it more available for tissue such as cartilage to use.

Chondrocytes (cartilage cells) use these substances for maintenance and possible repair of cartilage tissue.

The substances are usually well tolerated, causing fewer gastrointestinal (stomach) problems. However, young children and pregnant women should not use them because safety studies have not been completed in these groups of people. No known drug interactions exist

Always read the label and use as directed. If symptoms persist see your healthcare practitioner
